A day in the shop

After getting exactly what we were hoping to find at the Veritas Sale - so dang lucky, a sharpening system for all our blades - we couldn't help swinging by KJP to pick up some hardwoods. As the hail beat down, we heading home and straight to our basement shop (one day we dream of a shop with windows).

I started with a bowl and gave up on it - Cueyo said he'd finish it, what a nice guy - and instead grabbed a burl and made a lovely vase to match the one Cueyo did last week. So now there's two lovely inlayed burly vases up for sale :) Turquoise by Cuey, Red Coral by Moi. Meanwhile Cuey was busy with some beautiful end-grain Walnut cutting boards.

Tried to get good photos of them this morning, totally different lighting this morning with a fresh batch of snow coming down - finally!!!!!
